Inquiry about controversial German “private” agent Werner Mauss

You write: “The couple were arrested at Medellin airport as they were attempting to leave Colombia with Brigitte Schoene ransomed wife of a German executive.”
 
The Colombian Supreme Court legally acquitted Herr Mauss and his wife of all charges on May 20, 1998. In its verdict, the court said that no ransom had been paid for the executive’s wife.
