Agent mediated between ELN guerrillas and the German government / freed doctor is delighted

District. The spectacular kidnapping of a Munich doctor in Colombia last week made the world headlines. The 61-year-old Ottmar Broda was seized and held hostage by the ELN guerrilla organisation. His release at the weekend had a great deal to do with the husband and wife agent team from the Hunsrück region, Werner and Ida Mauss, who handled negotiations between the ELN and the German government. After weeks of research Wochenspiegel editor Mario Zender managed to be present to witness the hostage release in Colombia. He spoke to members of the ELN guerrilla organisation as well as to agent Werner Mauss and the kidnapped doctor.
